Oh My GOODNESS!!!!! I love these photos that Korindi took for Paisley's 6 month photos.

Every time we go to get Paisley's photos done I hope and pray that everything goes smooth. This time she had three different outfits so changing her that many times in such a short period I knew was eventually going to get to her, and it did. I noticed she was getting frustrated from all of the changes so I decided to give her some free time. After she finished her bottle and changed her diaper we put her in her final outfit and sat her on the chair. She then started to cry pretty much right away, she was done... I was really wanting her to be happy because the set up was just too cute to miss.

Well.... there is this song that Paisley loves and I mean LOVES. She could be screaming bloody murder in the car and when I turn the song on she will start smiling, kicking her feet and having a good time. But when I go to show people she just sits there, which then makes me look like a crazy person. So when she started to cry I told Korindi that this might not work but it's worth the try. I turned on her song (You Lie by The Band Perry) and she just perked right up and was all smiles. I'm glad she didn't make me a liar that time. I was so happy to get those last couple of shots and as you can see Korindi once again did an amazing job.

This is something new I am going to do with our family blog, it's called 365 Days With You. I was meaning to take some new pictures of Paisley this week but I haven't been feeling well so I just took some old ones and put fun quotes with them. I think I might turn this into a flip book for P.

New Years 2012

Wow! I cannot believe how fast this past year has just come and gone. Onto 2012....

My New Years resolution is to be 99.9% cloth diapering by the end of January. I have been using both cloth and disposable diapers and I must say I much rather prefer cloth diapers. Disposable diapers have been nothing but problems for us. Number one reason why I hate them so much is because Paisley is always getting diaper rashes. I noticed when she is in her cloth diapers it never happens, so this is my main reason for going the cloth route. The reason why I have it 99.9% and not 100% is if I have a babysitter that isn't comfortable using the cloth the disposable will be there for her to use.

My next New Years resolution is to run a 5K and a 10K. I have been saying for many years now that I am going to do it and I never do, so Next week I am going to be signing up for a 5K in March. I figure if I actually sign up and pay the money I will do it.

Also, I would like to get back in shape just like everyone else. This is the time of year where I hate going to the gym. Everyone is wanting to do the same the same thing with losing weight that the gyms are packed. It starts to die down around March, so in the mean time I will be going either really late or working out at home.

Last but not least I want to become more organized. I don't consider myself a hoarder but I do have a hard time getting rid of things that have memories behind them. (Just like wedding cards that I haven't read since I got married that now collect dust buried in some box in some room in the house. But I'm not throwing them away!) <-- Ryan wrote that and I completely disagree with him, we will NOT be getting rid of the cards.

* Sitting up all by herself for a good amount of time

* Eating Vegetables

* Teething really bad. I am hoping that we will be seeing a tooth pretty soon.

* Very chatty

* Learning sign language (she gets excited when I sign "more" and "milk")

* Imitates you when you make a fish sound with your lips.

* Grabs for EVERYTHING

* Holds her bottle ( she has been doing this for a few months but I just haven't documented it)

* Looks at you when you call her name

* Has her ears pierced

Bluetooth

Many of you know about my dog eating my bluetooth that I got for my birthday, but only a few of you know the real story. Since I got another one for Christmas I decided to tell Ryan the truth about what happened to my bluetooth(s).

For my birthday Ryan got me a bluetooth and like you all know my stupid dog that I love so much ate it the next day. Well, what you don't know is that I bought another one. I knew Ryan would be PISSED so I hurried and ordered one with my own money. I was so pissed because I only work one day a week and that whole check went straight to my bluetooth. I didn't want Ryan to have any suspicions that Coco ate it and that I had to buy another one so I ordered the same one. Trying to figure out the exact bluetooth that was chewed to shreds was really hard to find but I found it. For a few days Ryan kept asking me why I wasn't using it and I would just make up some excuse that it was in my room or in the car in all reality it was in COCO's frickin stomach. GRRRRRRR.

The day finally came where my package arrived. So I threw away all of the left over things from my first bluetooth so there weren't any doubles of anything. I was so excited to have another bluetooth until...... Yes, you guessed it that STUPID DOG ate it two days later. I was balling. I didn't know what to do. At this point I had to tell Ryan because I didn't want to pay for another one. The first one Ryan bought was $100 but when I went to buy it I got it off amazon for $70. I wasn't about to throw another paycheck of mine away just so Coco could potentially eat it again.

And just so you all know, no I did not leave it on the floor or couch where Coco had easy access to it. I had it on the table both times. Now knowing that my fat overweight pug was able to jump onto our bar stool height chairs and eat my bluetooth I always make sure the chairs are pushed in. The reason why I think she like it so much was because when it was on it would blink red and blue lights. Coco has a thing for lights and reflections.

My new bluetooth (that I still have (knock on wood)), is forever and always staying in my car at all time. I actually haven't even tried it out yet but I know it was a good one so I am excited to use it. It is a jawbone brand. Ryan got it on the "Cyber Monday Sale" for $35, it was originally $110. My saving skills are rubbing off on him. :)

If your wondering if Ryan was mad when I told him the truth he wasn't. Maybe because it was Christmas and he didn't want to spoil the mood :)

Also he wasn't that mad that I scratched up the car after I ran into a wall.....but I'll save that for another post! He must LOVE me! : )

Visiting Friends and Family

I was really excited to go up to Utah to see all of my extended family. The last time I saw them was at my baby shower so none of them had met Paisley until now. We also got to see one of my best friends Jeneil, I hate that she lives so far away :(.

I love how Paisley will go to anyone and not cry.

Temple Lights

I was excited to hear that we were going to see the SLC temple lights this year because I had never seen them before. not impressed.... Ryan had shown me pictures of the year he went with his family the year we got engaged and they had every tree and bush lit up. This year they only had a few big trees lit up and patches here and there of decorations. Well, Paisley loved it and I guess that is all that matters these days.

Before we went to look at the lights we ate at the YUMMIEST place on Earth. It is called Tucanos (Like Brazillian Steakhouse where they come and give you endless meats). I was eating everything that came to our table, minus the chicken heart, Ryan ate that. YES, can you believe Ryan ate that.... GROSS!

I love Paisley's winter outfit, I got it on sale for $11.00 at Target :) I think it was originally $30 or something like that. The best part about it was when I would stop to take a picture and I would then have to catch up to Ryan and his family all I had to do was look for HOT PINK :).

Christmas Eve/Christmas

Oh Boy.... Where to start. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life. For Christmas this year Ryan and I got everyone on both sides of our families the same gift which happened to be life strength bands.

I am sure you have all seen these before in the malls. Well, there has been a lot said about these and that they don't really work. Here is the real story. The balance test that they do to sell them is fake it is just their way to sell you their product but everything else is true ( Well at least I believe it is). So I was doing some ear candles on Ryan (that's another blog post that is a must for everyone to read) and Ryan's dad or mom (can't remember who started the conversation) started to talk about them and he/she was saying how they don't even work (keep in mind that they have no idea that they are going to be getting that for their Christmas gift). Ryan and I were laughing so hard and we just kept letting them talk. Later that night Ryan asked me if we should have them open their gifts and I couldn't resist. So, we gave them their gifts and Carrie (Ryan's mom) started laughing instantly, It took Rod (Ryan's dad) a while because he had to put his glasses on to see what it was. OH MY GOODNESS I AM PRETTY SURE I PEED MYSELF THAT NIGHT.

If your not laughing I guess you just had to of been there. :)

I truly so believe that these do work; I notice a difference when Ryan wears his and my dad even noticed a difference in his knee pain.

As for the presents, Ryan was smart and had all of my gifts shipped to his parents house so I couldn't find them. I also told him he better delete all of his emails and then delete them again from the trash because thats how I found out last year :).

Ryan got a gun for Christmas. and I got some boots, a bluetooth, some photography stuff and more cloth diapers!!!! I am pretty sure I am the only person that gets excited for diapers.

She did so good I am really curious to see how she does next year. Paisley's Doctor Thinks She Is A Boy

Today we had Paisley's 6th month well check. I don't know what her doctor was smokin because he kept calling her a boy. I kept replying well.... SHE is bla bla bla bla. and then he would call her a boy again. Well, when he started to examine her he was looking at her legs and her who-ha and while he was doing that she farted in his face. I couldn't stop laughing. I was thinking in my head... that's what you get for calling her a boy. Should I be worried that her doctor has no idea who she even is... I mean seriously, look in her folder before you walk into the room. I use to work in a physical therapy office and we new everything about out patients. We would even see them at the gym and recognize them. She should have pooped on him because then I am sure he will never forget who she is.

She is in the 40th percentile in her weight, 60th for her height and 80th in her head. That's one big noggin.

Hopefully we can get through this winter without getting sick. Knock on wood, she hasn't been sick once :)

Rub A Dub Dub The Bumbo Is In The Tub

Paisley was in heaven sitting in her bumbo in the tub. If you do this be sure to watch your kids at all times and don't fill up the bath too much. Paisley doesn't weigh enough so when the water was getting higher the bumbo was starting to float. I must say this way was so much easier to wash her and it is helping her to sit up better too. On Ryan's days off he always gives her a bath, so while he was bathing her I made sure to snap a few pictures.

After the bath Ryan put her in her Pajamas.

Ethel M Chocolates

Tonight we went to Ethel M Factory. Every year for Christmas they cover the cactus garden in Christmas lights. Paisley was in love with all the lights. I cant wait to go back next year.

6 MONTHS OLD

I cannot believe how fast this past six months have gone by. I don't even want to think about the next six. P. just needs to stay little forever.

She is now...

*Sitting better; around 30 seconds to 2 minutes. She would probably be sitting better if I put her in her bumbo more but she hates that thing. (Does that even help them sit better?)

*Rolls everywhere

*Does this head scoot (pushes with her feet and scoots on her head. My mom said I use to do the same thing)

*Eating solids. So far we have only tried giving her green beans and she does NOT like them (this is where she is like her daddy. She may have my looks but she has her daddy's stomach).

* Still LOVES her jumper

* Loves playing Peek-A-Boo

* Would rather play with the tags on the toy rather than the toy itself.

* Love the song "You Lie" by The Band Perry (Paisley could be screaming and if I play this song for her she will stop crying immediately and start to smile and laugh. It is so funny. If you don't believe me ask Ryan, my mom and Megan; they have seen her do it multiple times. I have it on video but I always have trouble uploading videos on here :(

Naughty Dogs

I have the smartest dumbest dogs alive. Many of you know that Coco recently ate my blue tooth that Ryan bough me for my birthday. When I found her with it she was in her cage. This is what she does when she has something she shouldn't. Now on every time Coco isn't in my sight I know she is most likely doing something she shouldn't be doing. Last night I went to look for her in her cage and sure enough she was chewing on an attachment to Paisleys booger-sucker-upper. She quickly ran out of her cage and into Khloe's cage. And in there I found this.

I was looking all over for this yesterday. Khloe took the container of dog food in her cage to try and eat more food. I recently put my dogs on a diet because they are getting way too fat, specifically Coco (the vet said she gained 4 pounds). So now Coco's bad habits are running off of Khloe because I have never seen her do this. Those crazy dogs.

Determined To Get A Good Picture

Trying to get these pictures was kinda like pulling teeth. Ryan was trying to get P. to smile but by the time he looked at the camera she wasn't smiling anymore. So I told him to just look at the camera and smile and I would do the rest. Well, I guess he wasn't listening because he was watching the television. I'm pretty sure I took about 10 pictures till I finally got one I liked.

Ryan was lucky enough to get Thanksgiving off this year, so we ended up going to my parents. I would much rather do my traveling at night so we left when Ryan got off work on Wednesday which was 1 am. Ryan said he was fine to drive but as soon as we got outside of Vegas I could tell he was getting tired so we switched. I sang the whole way home to keep me awake. We rolled into Overton about 3 am. We were both so tired all we were wanting to do was sneak in and go to bed. Well, my mom didn't think we were going to be coming out so late so she locked the door. When I knocked on the door my brothers dogs started barking; right then I knew this was going to be a crazy night. SO, Tyler and his wife and two dogs were in my old room and my parents were in their room. My parents ended up going out to the toy hauler and sleeping out there so Ryan, Paisley and I could have their room with our crazy dogs. Dodger (Tyler's dog) and Khloe are so much alike every little sound they hear they start going crazy. So basically all night it was either Dodger or Khloe barking at each other across the house or Coco whining in her cage (Ryan put her in the cage because she wouldn't sit down). Needless to say I got the worst sleep in my life.

I decided to make Paisley a Thanksgiving day outfit. I was almost done sewing around the turkey's body then SNAP... my needle broke :( I was so mad because I only had about an inch left. I ended up finishing it at my mom's house Thanksgiving day. It's not perfect but I still think it looks pretty good. I cant wait to make her one for Christmas!

We were suppose to stay the night again and leave early the next day but we had an idea of how the night was going to go we decided to leave that night. Which I am so glad we did because I don't think I could have had another sleepless night.

Since this weeks family picture was so bad, I decided to share two. We look good right?

Poor Ryan is passing another kidney stone. About 7 months ago he had to have a lithotripsy(definition at bottom of page). He had FOUR kidney stones for about 3-4 months, YIKES. Some people compare passing a kidney stone to giving birth, well I don't know about you but I think it would hurt for a guy to give birth down there. I bet if he changed his diet he wouldn't have this problem. I am taking him to a doctor where there are going to do a more natural approach to heal him by doing a muscle test. I couldn't even believe that Ryan agreed to do this, to make sure I heard him right I had to ask him twice. Ryan and I are very different when it comes to our bodies, for instance Ryan would rather take a pill to get rid of a headache where I would just drink more water. If I can get Ryan to go to one of my doctors who knows what I can do next... maybe I can get him to eat a salad. Now THAT would be something to blog about :)

I had to make him his own food cabinet so I wouldn't be tempted to eat his crap. And let me tell ya... it is working. Out of sight, out of mind.

The first thing I did when we got home from California was put all of the Halloween candy in a bag for Ryan to take to work.

HALLOWEEN 2011

Wahoooo I LOVE HALLOWEEN! This year was so much fun! We drove down to Corona Del Mar to go trick-or-treating with Gus and Matilda. It was really nice to get out of town and go see Court and the kids. This was P.'s first BIG trip and I must say I think she did great! Courtney and the kids live about a football field or two from the beach! We walked down to the beach every day we were there. Must be nice to live so close to the beach.

Ryan was Mr. Popular. Everyone that passed us was like.... Oh, WOW! look there's Gumby. Only a couple said look there's Waldo. I feel like people seriously thought I dressed like that on purpose.

Gus so badly wanted to be an angry bird but the costumes were all sold out, so Court bought a sun costume and transformed it into the yellow angry bird. Doesn't it look great!

I have to pat myself on the back because I made P.'s costume the night before Halloween. I wanted her to be something else but I couldn't let myself spend $50 on something she was only going to wear for a night. That chicken costume only cost $7 to make!

5 MONTHS OLD

This past month there has been HUGE changes with Paisley.

She is now.....

* Sitting up for about a good 30-45 seconds before tipping over

* Rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy

* LAUGHING!!!!

* Eating rice cereal and LOVES IT!!!

* Jumping in her Jumper

* Grabbing for her toys

* taking very long naps since I have darkened her room. They are now anywhere from 2-4.5 hours three times a day

I pretty much have had it with Coco. This past week she ate my bluetooth that I got earlier this month for my birthday. Grrrrrrrr. Today I had a friend over for lunch and while we were in the other room her fat little self somehow jumped onto the table and started eating the food (good thing we had just finished). Then, later tonight as I was giving P. a bath she decided she wanted one too and jumped in. There is nothing worse than the smell of a wet dog. I swear this dog must not be getting enough attention.

We have been through about four or five different booger-sucker-uppers with Paisley and the one we finally found that works... it is electrical. The other day Ryan was playing with it and held it up against his cheek and about an hour latter I noticed a mark on his cheek. I asked him what was on his face. So he went and looked in the mirror and I started to laugh because I realized that it was the booger-sucker-upper. It has been two days since he did this and the mark is still on his face.

He started to google ways to get it off and one of the things it said was to get a curling iron and make it look like a burn mark. hahaha what idiot would do that????

Halloween Decor

I have finally started making the things I have been pinning. This was one of my first projects that I made.

It is made out of scrapbook paper.

Ever since I started doing digital scrapbooking all of my papers and embellishments have been collecting dust. I'm pretty sure I have anywhere from $500 and up in scrapbooking supplies. Ever since Ryan and I have been married (2 years) he has been nagging me to get rid of it, but since I am a partial hoarder I hid them from him because I knew one day I would be needing something from it. Then the day came where Pinterest entered my life!!! So this project cost me nothing :)

Last week we went to the pumpkin patch for the first time as a family. We had a great time picking out our pumpkins. Paisley just kept looking around. She can always tell when she is in a new place. She just sits there very quiet and looks at everything.

I had another coupon savings class this past Sunday at our Tea with Topics groups that my friend Ellie started. I was so happy that I went because I learned even more ways to save and I was able to ask some questions that I was needing answered. Needless to say, as soon as I got home, I when through my coupon book and started making a list of things to buy and this was what I bought.

And guess how much I paid? $18.35

I would say that pretty good considering one of those Enfamil cans are worth $16.00.

When we went to the store I told Ryan I wanted him to check out separately from my coupons because I just wanted to show him how much we saved. I kept smiling bigger and bigger after every coupon was scanned, Ryan couldn't help but to laugh. I told him I was on a coupon high.

25 Years Young

I can't believe I'm 25 years young. I remember when I was in high school I use to think that 25 was OLD. Well, according to my friend Chelsea, I am.

I may be 25 years old but I feel like I am 19 or 20.

I had such a great birthday, besides getting terrible sleep thanks to the little one. I knew Ryan was up to something because when I was up with Paisley his alarm went off and I thought that was weird. Well, he ended up getting up at 3 am while I was sleeping and going to the store to buy me a bunch of balloons and some beautiful flowers. Paisley woke up at 4:30 for a feeding and when I woke up, I about had a heart attack because all I saw was this...

...IN THE DARK.

Ryan was still up at this point and was changing Paisley. He is always wanting to help me with her but at night he can't really do much since I have all the milk. Yes, it would be weird but it would also be nice if the men were the ones who did the breast feeding. Sometime I feel like I should walk on all fours and just moooo. Ryan calls me "meals on wheels".

After I put Paisley back down, I had to peak at all of my gifts. I always though I was the best gift giver, oh no, Ryan is always listening to what I say. I mean, I do make it easy on him since I want just about everything. I even tell him not to buy me a gift just to take me out to dinner but he never does. He got me a pillow for when I take baths, gift card to Olive Garden, iTunes gift card, 2 pairs of flip flops, crazy socks, bluetooth , picture frames, life strength band, and my favorite, the baby chef. It makes baby food! It is going to save us so much money I can't wait to use it.

I also got this delivered to my house from my friend Tiffany.

It's a flower cake! Isn't that the coolest thing ever?!?! I had to poke it a couple of time because for a second I thought it was a real cake.

Well, our day finally begin and we went to the Mirage to go see the new baby dolphins. If you go ask for the locals discount, it's only $10 and kids 4 and under are free.

They also have the white lions you can go see. My camera died so I wasn't able to take pictures :(

Later that night, Ryan had to go to work so my friend Megan took me out to dinner and we also went and got our eye brows and fake lashes put on; but that a whole other story for another day. All I can tell you is that I haven't laughed that had in quite sometime.

Our Trip Around The World

Ever since Paisley came home from the hospital she basically slept all night and if she ever got up for a feeding she went right back to bed. Well, tonight she had other plans.... After all my bagging of how great of a sleeper she is, she turned on me. Out of all night to be awake at 1 in the morning she picked the night before my birthday. Thanks Paisley.

I don't know what her deal is tonight but she woke up laughing, it was like she was getting laughing gas through her air vent.

Well, since she can't sleep we decided to take a trip around the world.

We first had to pack our bags, and then we were off to the airport. Paisley is so excited can't you tell.

Since It was so late we had to take the red eye. It was so worth it because we got to ride in the first ever invisible airplane. We were able to see the clouds all around us.

Our first stop was in beautiful Hawaii. We sat on the beach drinking our milk and water while watching the sunset.

While we were in Hawaii we went scuba diving! We saw all sorts of fish.

After Hawaii we flew straight to Paris. We saw the Eiffel Tower, it was really tall.

We didn't stay very long because we couldn't understand what anyone was saying to us. My year of taking French in high school was a waste because all I learned to say was. Bonjour, je m'appelle Desi

Next we went to Yosemite, it was a beautiful sight.

We finished our world trip with a ride on the New York New York roller coaster in Las Vegas

And off to bed we went.

Paisley is getting so big and she has sure made some progress over the past month

* Roll over

* Can last up to 20 minutes on her tummy, which is HUGE because last month we were lucky to get 30 seconds.

* Reaches for her toys that are near her. (tries to put them in her mouth, sometimes she succeeds and other time she just continually hits her forehead)

* Sings/talks all day long

* Sucks on her toes (I have been trying to get a picture of her doing it but every time I pull the camera out she stops).

* Taking 3 two hour naps and sleeping 10-13 hours a night :)

* Sometimes she laughs in her sleep, it so funny

* Which reminds me, she started laughing :)

I am so happy the whole day today Paisley never once fought her naps and also took all three naps in her crib. The past month her naps have been so weird. First I was having to rock her to sleep or put her in the moby wrap. Then she was wanting to be swaddled and napping in her swing. Then she started falling asleep on her play mat. During all of those time she was only taking 20-40 minute naps and sometimes only two a day. Thankfully, today she took three two hour naps in her crib (where I want her to nap), and the best part I laid her in her crib while she was awake and she just fell asleep. She didn't even cry, I am so happy I was able to get SO much stuff done today, I hope this is how it is going to stay.

I have been really bad at posting our Sunday pictures. I figure that Sunday would be the easiest day to remember because that is the only day that we all look picture worthy, and when I say ALL I mean ME. I never get ready unless I am leaving the house and even then I don't do anything special. Sometimes I even leave with my hair still wet. I told Ryan that he should nominate me to go on "What Not To Wear" so you all should nominate me too because I need help with dressing myself and doing my hair. Anyways.... Well the reason why we haven't been taking that many Sunday pictures is because I was out of town for a couple of weeks. This past Sunday I remembered to take a picture but we had to take it really fast so Ryan could leave for work which is why it doesn't look like the normal Sunday pictures I like to take.

Every year Ryan and a group of buddies do their fantasy football league. This year Ryan bought a trophy for the winner and I must say that it's pretty cool. On the two sides there are nameplates, six on each side. Whoever wins that year gets to have their name and year they won engraved in it and they also get to keep the trophy till the next year. Then they pass it on to the next winner and so on and so on.... Since Ryan bought it we are keeping it till the end of the season till it moves on to its new home, but of course we are hoping it stays put. We decided to put it above the fire place next to our family picture and Jesus. Maybe with it sitting up there it will bring him some luck.

Paisley loves the TV good thing I do too. We watch The Real Housewives, Teen Mom, The Kardashians, Toddlers and Tiaras and of course Jersey Shore before you know it she will be fist pumpin. (Don't judge me, I really don't know why I watch this show because I think they are all idiots). Paisley's favorite thing to watch is "Rio". This movie is so cute, you should all buy it.

Before I was even pregnant I saw a baby with a hands free bottle. I was going to make sure I would have one of those when I had a baby. I looked for about a month and finally found one at Babies R Us. I love this thing, it come in handy when I am in the middle of doing something and paisley needs a little to eat.

I am so happy with the amazing deals I just got off of craigslist. For Christmas we were wanting to get Paisley a jumperoo. I found this amazing deal for a brand new one that hasn't even been taken out of its box for $30; they retail for $100 so I feel like I got a steal. The next thing I bought was a swing. I had been wanting a swing for the upstairs so Paisley can sit in it while I do my crafts. I went to my friends' baby shower last weekend and put her in the swing they had and she fell asleep instantly, so I knew I had to get one. The lady was asking $75 for it but I wanted to see how low I could get it and she went for my first offer of $60. When I was in Babies R Us yesterday the same one was priced for $160. A hundred dollars off and with it being in great condition is a great deal, at least I think so.

I have been slackin on the Sunday Pictures the past couple of weeks. We have been super busy trying to figure out school/work schedules and of course Ryan's fantasy football picks. Last week we were wanting to finish a few things around the house such as the mantel. We finally arranged to the way we were wanting it; no more tiki man up there :)

We also put up some pictures in the hallway.

Ryan's valet company parks for the World Market shows and after its all done, there are always dealers that just give furniture away for free so we were hoping to get a TV stand for our bedroom. We sure did luck out, I love

it! The best part about it is that it matches with our bedroom set really well. Now all we need for our room is some curtains and maybe a paint job.

2nd Anniversary

Ryan and I just celebrated our second anniversary. We had a great time. This was my first time leaving Paisley overnight, I was really sad at first but once we got the night going I seemed to be fine. We started off the night with eating dinner at this amazing Japanese place in the Wynn called Okada. We went there for our first anniversary and I feel that we are going to make it a tradition. After dinner we went to the Lexor where we gambled our savings away... Just kidding, not our saving Ryan always puts aside "fun" money that we played with.

While we were on our cruise earlier this year we learned how to play roulette and we are now addicted... Kidding again. We are not addicted but it sure is fun to play. Ryan always does really well until I decided that I wanted to play; I guess I sucked up all of Ryan's good luck because he lost all his money. Ryan and I are very different when it come to gambling. I like to WIN MONEY even if it's just ten extra dollars. Where Ryan like to play for fun even if that means losing everything. Maybe one day he will learn that my way is better. I ended the night with the same amount that I started with ($35) and decided to put it all in this new machine "Deal or no Deal." I have been wanting to play this for months but there is only one and every time we pass it it is occupied. All I have to say is I COULD have bought a nice pair of shoes with that $35's but I lost it all on that stupid game. All I have to say is I learned my lesson to NEVER play that game again. After that we went home and I wanted to take a bath in our amazing jacuzzi tub. Amazing??? I don't think so, it took almost 2 hours to fill the dang thing up. but once it was full it was nice to just sit in and relax in.

Ryan is the best hubby in the whole world. I am so lucky to have him in my life, and he sure is lucky to have ME :) jk although I'm sure he does feel that way. He is and will always be my best friend. Some of my favorite memories of us are when we are just laying in bed and laughing. I am excited to see where we end up and to see how many more little ones we will have. Only time will tell.

Paisley is such a good baby (I'm so glad we got the colic under control).

In the past month Paisley has....

Been smiling and talking like crazy. Speaking of talking, Paisley said HELLO! Ryan and I about died laughing when she did it and the best part we got it on tape. (you can view my facebook to watch it).
She is also SUPER BABY! Her legs are so strong, she can bare weight on her legs anywhere from 10-15 seconds.
She is fighting her naps but goes down at night with no problem, I'll just lay her in her crib and she will fall asleep.
She is still sleeping through the night so I am very thankful for that because with me being such a night person I need to sleep in.

I'm excited for her Dr's appointment tomorrow to see how much she has grown!

Ryan and I went and surprised Matilda and Gus at Sky Zone when they were in town last week. Well, I thought I could just workout at home and the closest I got to that was thinking about doing it. I did start walking in the morning with a friend but that soon died. I enjoy my sleep way too much and the fact that I have a baby that does too, I am going to take advantage of that.

So I renewed my gym membership at the wonderful Las Vegas Athletic Club. I love this club they have the most amazing classes. Today I went and took the Body Attack class and I about died.... I LOVED IT! I cant wait to go to try out more new classes, like ZUMBA, I hear it's amazing.

Ryan says I need to learn self control, but that's not possible. I told him out of sight out of mind. I hate how he can eat that crap 24/7 and still be so skinny, must be nice. We went over to my friend Ellie's place to go swimming. Paisley is just like me we had to slowly work our way into the pool. It was really nice once we got in. Today I am officially 6 week so I can now workout. Wahooo. I am actually upset because I was at my previous baby weight and then I decided to pig out on just about everything that isn't healthy and gained 5 pounds. So now it is time to lose it plus some.

The other day I was watching Dr. OZ while eating my Dove Chocolates (YUMMM) and he said to motivate yourself to lose weight send out invitations to a new you party ahead of time so instead I am going to blog about it and do weekly weigh ins. YIKES. I really hate this but I think if I do it publicly then I will get to the weight that I want to be.

My goal is to look like I did when Ryan and I first started dating, or close to it.

So when I was pregnant I decided that I wanted to do a little cloth diapering to save some money. A lot of people think that cloth diapering is gross and that it takes a lot of time. Well I have been doing these for two weeks now and I LOVE them I actually think they do a better job when it comes to BLOWOUTS. Paisley hasn't had one blowout since she has been in these. I don't have her in them all the time like for instance if I go somewhere when I know I will be gone for a while and when she goes to bed at night I put her in a regular diaper. These particular ones are really cool because they are re sizable, all the way from new born to two years old. They are so cute I have them in purple, light pink, magenta, and white. At the moment I only have eight but I plan on getting more!

We spent the fourth up in St. George with Ryan's family. We had such a great time. I love being around Ryan's family they make me laugh so hard especially when you get the whole gang together. This was the biggest trip we had taken with Paisley since she was born and I must say she did very well. Sunday we spend time with Ryan's family since they were all leaving in the morning. On the fourth we walked around the town with Ryan's grandpa then later that night we met up with my friend Megan to watch some fireworks. We were right under them and Paisley slept through the whole thing.

One month old.... Are you serious??? I can't believe how fast this past month went by. Paisley is so much fun, well to tell you the truth right now she is a little boring. Ryan and I are both looking forward to the day where she can hold her head up and smile at us when we talk to her. She is such a good baby, Ryan and I are very lucky. Basically ever since she came home from the hospital she has slept through the whole night. It has been fun learning how to sooth her when she gets fussy, okay well not at first it wasn't because she was colic. But now we have seemed to get that under control thanks to some wonderful drops that help with her gas. There really isn't much else to say about her accept that we love her so much and are happy that she is a healthy and happy baby.

I heard really great things about the "Moby Wrap" so I decided that was what we were going to get for a carrier. When Ryan saw it he said he was going to get a different carrier because he thinks it weird and too confusing. I haven't used it as much as I would like but I have put her in it a few times and I really think she likes it. It's nice to wear with her because if she is awake she wants to be held so as long as she is in that I can still do things with two hands rather than just one.

Well one day we had some friends over and Alicia and I went upstairs to do crafts while Ryan and Jessie stayed downstairs to played the wii. Ryan was watching Paisley and I guess she was a little fussy so he put her in the moby wrap. I cracked up just because I really never though he would use it. I never though I would put her in her crib so soon but she literally sleeps through the whole night so I figured I would put her in her crib now so she doesn't have a hard time transitioning from her bassinet. Last night was her first night in her crib. I was so nervous to leave her in there alone (even though I had a monitor and her room in literally 5 steps away from mine and Ryan's) I ended up sleeping on the floor and I will probably do the same tonight.

I play yoga/meditation music for her. She loves it! Right now it's on my iphone so I need to burn it to a cd and just play it on repeat.

She is such a good sleeper! One night she slept 8 hours (thank you baby Jesus)! I figure she sleeps so well because all she does during the day is EAT,EAT and EAT some more, so her tummy is nice and full through the night.

I hate hearing that someone has past away. I hate it even more when it is someone that you are very close to. Kathy was more than just my next door neighbor, she was like a second mom to me.

I have so many great memories with Kathy. I always went to Kathy if I couldn't go to my parents and this particular time I went to her because I got my first of many speeding ticket. I knew that if my parents found out was going to be in a lot of trouble so I figured Kathy could help me. Since I was a minor I had to bring one of my parents to court with me and she thought maybe she could pretend to be my parent but that didn't work so she ended up preparing my parents with the bad news so they wouldn't get so mad at me when I told them.

Kathy was the life of the party. She always knew how to have a good time. Paisley's baby shower was the first she had ever been to so I was excited that she got to experience that with me. The thing that breaks my heart is that the day she past away was going to be the day that she was going to meet Paisley. I know that she is looking down in heaven and watching her every minute.

I love you Kathy. I will miss you so much.

What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you”d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what’’s true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we”ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile..
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

We talked the bishop today and set a date for Paisley's blessing.... July 31st. Yea! Our anniversary is August 1st so that means we will have free babysitters so we can go out!

I have no idea what to get Ryan.... any ideas? He already bought my gift and he keeps teasing me because he knows how much I hate it when he does that. When he does that I do what ever I can to figure it out. You would think he learned his lesson from last christmas. He kept saying," you don't know what I got you." So I went and looked two weeks before christmas and the next time he said that I said," Yes I do.... You got me a gift card to babies R us, thanks babe...."

The look on his face was priceless.

Although, this time might be harder because he deleted the emails and erased the history on the computer. Hmmmm I need to put my thinking cap on.

We searched everywhere to find someone to take my maternity and Paisley's newborn photos that wasn't crazy expensive and that did a good job. We were so happy with the work that Korindi did. She did an AMAZING job! She was so sweet I forgot all my accessories so she let me borrow hers.

Father's Day

Ryan's first Father's Day!!!

I was really excited to get Ryan's gift. He loves the Broncos so I got Paisley an outfit with a binki so she can match Ryan when he wears his jersey. I also go one of those hand pint kids and let me tell ya..... that was so hard to do. My mom was helping me and we re-did it twice but I think it turned out pretty good!

Paisley is really good at exploding through her diaper.

Megan was holding her and mentioned that she thought Paisley pooped. I simply replied that it was just gas (because she had been so gassy and not pooping lately). Well I was wrong Megan checked and sure enough she had pooped. I was really happy because she hadn't pooped in two days. So now I know to have Megan hold her when she needs to go.

Another time she decided to get me. I was changing her diaper and thought I would just let her butt air out for a couple minutes. Well, that will be the last time I ever do that. She had a juicy fart and my mom and I looked at each other and started laughing because we knew what had just happened and sure enough poop all over me.

She is also very talented in pooping in different colors :)

Ryan's parents came down to meet little miss Paisley. They loved every minute with her. They even watched her while I ran to the book store (Yes, can you believe my baby was only a few days old and I have already left her, well better do it sooner than later).

Rod and Carrie are moving to Salt Lake City. We are so excited that they will be so much closer and not to mention Ryan and I love Salt Lake City, so needless to say we will be going up there frequently.

To get the whole story, we have to tell you a little bit of pregnancy history.

This pregnancy has gone fairly easy until the last little bit. Des has been battling high blood pressure for the last part of the pregnancy and with that comes Non-stress tests every few days. This past week, we went in for a regular check up with the doctor when he looked at Desi's blood test results and found that her blood platelets were getting too low. Because of this, the doc then looked at us and said, "you'll be having this baby tonight or tomorrow." Des, freaked while I was totally happy that the baby was coming.

We went home, packed, let Des freak out a little more, and then headed off too Cheesecake Factory with her friend Megan for Desi's last meal before going to the hospital. They induced her at 10 pm Wednesday night with a cervidil. By 11 am Thursday morning it was time for the Pitocin. About 3 hours later the nurse came in to help with the hourly roll over of Des and during this, she started to get a little nauseous and threw up. Minute later Paisley's heart rate went from 150 to 40 and eight nurses rushed in. The nurses gave Paisley some drugs to try and raise her heart rate and those didn't work. Within minutes Des was rushed into the OR for an emergency C-section. Poor Des was so drugged up that she slept through the whole c-section. She was snoring so much that the Doctors were wondering what the anesthesiologist gave her.

Paisley Rae was born at 2:12 pm weighing in at 6 lbs 9 oz. She was a long 19 inches and is as cute as can be.

The C-section went great and mom and baby came out of the OR perfectly. Paisley got an APGAR of 6, 8, and 9. Her blood glucose was low and we almost had to make a trip to the NICU until she finally scored above 50! They drew so much blood so many times from her, her poor little feet are just torn up.

Sunday afternoon finally came around and mom and baby were discharged healthy and happy!
